So these past few weeks have been, well, interesting?
When Theresa is not working as a chocolatier at Godiva, forcing people to buy unreasonably priced truffles and pestering them with questions and smiling, she is dancing! This makes me very happy because I love Irish dancing so very much and I am so excited to be competing again and getting a crystal packed dress and running everyday woohoo! Running is very relaxing for me. I have been running for an hour a day, which is fantastic for me. I always ask Elizabeth to come but alas she is lazy and she always refuses and would I please stop asking.
I continue to waste ridiculous amounts of time on facebook, youtube, and tumblr instead of working on art homework and literature assignments.
I am learning in literature that there is no truth and no reality and I frankly think that this notion of anti reality is really very stupid and foolish, therefore I am reluctant to read any of that nonsense and the only reason I do is because I want to get a good grade in the class and because I am determined to appear articulate and intelligent amongst the really very ignorant students and really profane professor. This is not a very good reason to study because the ultimate reason for studying anything is to find the truth but how can you find the truth about a theory that says there is none so if you ask me I say dash it all and I read Tolkien instead, thank you.
Elizabeth works twice a week and she gets to wear colorful scrubs instead of a black apron like myself and therefore her job is very nice. I do not particularly like the elderly especially, or helping them anyway, which is terrible really. I prefer selling chocolate to Gucci clad Asians who can afford to drop two hundred American dollars on expensive treats, but I think that Elizabeth's job is more important than mine, so good for her.
We occasionally drop in on my grandmother and my absolutely ridiculous uncle from Texas. That is always a treat because we receive free food and get to pet dogs.
Today we plan to watch the Emmy Awards. We also plan to do a photo shoot for my photography class. Elizabeth will model for me, which will be great.
I miss my family and Elizabeth misses hers. Her family has a webcam and therefore she is in more frequent contact with them, whereas I have a broken phone that limits my communication with dear Ted and Jen.
We constantly try to keep a room clean and fail. We sometimes come into awkward contact with the landlord and her son or the other border, whom we have dubbed Shred Ninja. He is not very chummy and this disappoints us because we would very much like to have a friend to play cards with in the evenings. He also is rude because the bathroom schedule has yet to be communicated and that can be a bit of a problem sometimes.
Simone now has a boyfriend. We laugh. We support her. We also laugh a lot. We try to take our jealousy out on the wall by punching it, or at least Elizabeth does. Elizabeth was asked out by a delightfully short and obnoxiously ridiculous fellow named Shane this week, so that is somewhat of a comfort but alas not much because a bum from community college asking you out is not at all the same as a dapper, dynamically radical Catholic young man asking you out, thank you very much. Of course, neither has happened to Theresa so she is the least comforted of all.
We bought a coconut cream pie on the clearance freezer (if that's what you call it?) at Meijer. It is delicious.
We have looked up clubs. This seems like a bad idea to us. We want to meet reliable young men and if I was a reliable young man I would not be looking for reliable young girls at a dancing club. This is disappointing. It would be great if there was a club without grinding people and alcohol but what is the point of a club then. So we really don't plan on going.
